So your mom and I went to see the doctor today and guess what...
We heard you for the first time! Your heart was beating so fast that I was not sure you were my kid. The doctor told us that it was normal, but compared to your Mom's heart you were pumping blood three times as fast. We were so excited to finally hear you!
The doctor gave us some options. She wanted to know if we wanted to genetically test you. We definitely said yes. Here is what we will find out:
- You have high probability of having a genetic issues
- You may have an average probability of having genetic issues
- You have a low probability of anything that they test for
We are obviously both hoping for the last situation. However, if you show signs of anything we both feel like you should be tested more rigorously. If something is not "right" we want you to know that we love you and whatever we decide will be in your best interest.
Hearing your heart beat was so cool. You are my baby. You are our baby. I can not wait to meet you.
