Thankfully your mom does not read this too often (if at all), so i can talk freely for both of our sakes.  :)

Today we went out to some yard sales to buy stuff for the new home.  I found a bunch of yard tools that cost me under $30 and I fully plan to have them well into your college years.  Your mom, on the other hand, managed to find the only expensive item being sold for $45.  We managed to get the mirror for $25 and I immediately realized why I love her so much.

The little things in life are there to make you smile.  Forget about what you have been taught....just learn to appreciate life.  Your mom makes the most ridiculous things seem worth it...and for that...I love her.  I am a pain in the ass most of the time but i own it.  Your Pops taught me that and I will forever look up to him for it.  But just like him, I realize that no matter what you think, if it makes the person you love happy...just accept it.

Those may be my first words of wisdom to you, but they are certainly not the last nor the least unimportant.  I have so many things I want to tell you about growing up, high school, college, and beyond, that I can never fit them into one entry.  Just know that I love you and you regardless of what life throws at us, your mom and I will always be there for you.

I love you so much little one.

Dad.
