So Baby N...,

One thing you will realize in life is that time gets away from you very quickly.  When you are growing up you will always wish you were older.  You will be excited when you turn "double digits", then again when you are a "teenager."  You will be excited when you can drive at sixteen (that is the age now, but how knows what it will be in 16 years).  Then comes 18 which deserves an entire chapter in and of itself.  You will turn 21 at some point in college and you will go though your crazy faze.  I want you to know right here and now that I am very scared about that faze.  Your mom and I had a lot of fun in college and I do not want to deprive you of that.  At the same time, I look back at it and wonder how I survived.

College is a place where you really learn more about who you are and what the world around you really means to you.  You know what...I'm going to talk about this in 18 years.  Let me get back to my original thought...

Time flies by.  It will continue to move whether you want it to or not.  Enjoy life.  Every moment is memorable, good or bad.  Never let a bad moment haunt you because there is always something good right around the corner.
