It was a big day for the three of us.  Mom and I had an appointment with the doctor this afternoon just to talk about our new little miracle for the first time with someone who actually knows what they are talking about!  We were both very scared, because we didn't know you were on the way the last few weeks.  Aunt Julianne was in town from California as well as Sunit, an old college friend of mine.  We had a lot of fun but probably put a little too much stress on you.  We were worried we may have already messed up as parents.  The doctor told us that everything should be fine and we made an appointment to go back in ten days for a chance to actually "see" you for the very time.  We are both really excited!

The other good news is that we found out that mom can actually continue life pretty much normally by excersing and eating healthy, but doesn't have to be too strict with what she eats.  She was really realived because once we found out you were on the way, she began to eat nothing but salads with chicken.  Salads are not bad, but eating them for lunch and dinner every day for the next couple of months was not something she was looking forward to!  She is also really excited to get back into running.  She was training for a half marathon and was afraid she'd have to stop.  Apparently, it is good for you and her if she continues as long as she doesn't push herself too hard.

The doctor told her she needs to treat these next 8 months as the healthiest months of her life, but she doesn't have to kill her self over it.  Which was music to her ears and we decided she was overdue for some steak and potatoe out Outback Steakhouse later that night :)

After the appointment we headed over to Babies R Us to buy bibs with "I love my Grandma" and "I love my grandpa" on them for both of our parents (your grandparents obviously).  After a few arguments we found exactly what we were looking for and are expecting to surprise her parents tomorrow and mine on Sunday.  We are went to Target to buy some boxes and tissue paper to put the bibs in and plan on giving them to our parents to share the news.  Hopefully they will be smart enough to figure out what the presents mean without us having to tell them directly that they are about to be grandparents!

I have been couponing a lot recently getting all kinds of free and cheap stuff.  I won't bore you with the details now, but by the end of day we had bought almost a 1,000 diapers preparing for your first year of life.  I have heard that is only about one tenth the number we need for the first year alone, but its a start.  In the end we saved a ton of money with my couponing genius and walked away spending only $160 instead of $250.  I was pretty proud of myself...your mom just rolls her eyes, but she knows I love it.

Tonight was the first night both her and I were both relaxed and excited at the same time since we found out on Tuesday that you were going to be here by the end of the year.  We watched some TV shows we needed to catch up on and mom called it a night while I sat down to type this up and fill you in.

As you will learn throughout your life, I am long winded and am probably being too detailed with these journal entries, but too bad...I want you, me and your mom to always remember this time of our lives.  I love you.
