Yep, we are halfway through this pregnancy and still can't believe that in a little more than 4 months we will be blessed with your arrival into our little family.
Here you and I are at 20 weeks.
Your daddy, the sweet man that he is decided that I needed to "celebrate" this milestone and he sent me off on Friday (yep, same day you decided to make your presence known) to get a facial and a massage. It was so nice being able to leave work and spend 2 hours at the spa, and then to come home and put my feet up and relax at home for the rest of the evening, it was pure bliss.
Thanks Daddy for a nice evening!
Second Blog Title: The Storm
My relaxation only lasted until around 10:30pm that night. Daddy and I were laying in bed watching a movie, falling asleep, when we heard a horrible noise. I grabbed the remote and turned down the volume.W didn't hear it again, I asked daddy to run down and grab me some water, and that is when the storm hit. All of a sudden the wind picked up started shaking the shutters and the power went out. I looked outside and it was chaos outside, the wind and rain was so strong you couldn't even see across the street. It lasted about an hour at most, but the power never came back on. We spent the rest of the night trying to get some sleep in a hot, completely silent house, your dad was pretty successful, I failed miserably. We got up the next morning still with no power and ventured out to survey the damage. More than 1 million people in the area had lost power and the number of trees down and debris was so much worse than we expected. Luckily around 11am that morning your Dad and I regained power and around 3:30pm Grandpa Tom and Grandma Judy got power back, but even now, Sunday evening, Jane and Pop still have no power, we're hoping they will be back up and running by early next week.
Sorry, I strayed a little with that second topic, but I thought the storm was worth mentioning, if only for your dad and I to look back and remember that crazy night.
We're halfway there baby bean! We'll be seeing ya soon!
