Saturday was the big family reveal!

For the last several years the Namejko/Lisi family gets together for a "family reunion" affectionately known as Christmas in July. This get together seemed like the perfect setting to announce to the family what we were having. Grandma Judy and Grandma Jane coordinated a special cake that your dad and I would cut in front of everyone and the inside would be either pink for girl or blue for boy.

Before we cut the cake everyone grabbed a pink or blue post-it depending on what they thought it would be. With everyone gathered around, you're dad and cut into the cake.

Drum roll please....

AH!!! We are having a little baby girl!

The reveal was so much fun, alot of energy and everyone was hollering and laughing. It was a really fun moment.

Grandpa Tom was the last of the immediate family to find out what you were, he wanted to wait until you were born but we were able to convince him to find out with everyone else, and I am soo glad that he did.

Here we all are grinning from ear to ear!

I will post again about Christmas in July itself, but although your dad got to you first, I couldn't wait to tell you how excited we both are to finally be able to refer to you as "she" instead of "it", makes the whole thing even more real. Eeek!

Update: During the big reveal, we were actually given our own "big reveal" which was this fantastic glider that the whole family pitched it to get us.

Your daddy and I are so excited, we really wanted one and now we have one...yay! Plus, its the first piece of furniture that is actually IN your room right now :)
