We took another step today in the right direction toward having your first home ready for when you arrive.  Grandpa Tom and I met an inspector at the house we are moving into in May just to make sure everything was good to go.  Outside of some very minor issues, it appears the house is safe and in great condition.

The most exciting thing for me was when Tom introduced himself as the "Home Buyer" and me as the "Home Owner."  It was a simple statement, but it me feel good that he has willing to treat this entire arrangement in a very positive light for your mom and I.  He made me feel like it really will be our "home" and not just a house we are renting.  Of course, my hope is that we are just there long enough for you to have some memories like I have of my first home at 8807 Linton Lane, Alexandria, VA.  Then hopefully we'll move on a place that is truly our own.
