Every year for the last several years we have gone apple or pumpkin picking, usually around Daddy's birthday, which is this Thursday. This year we decided to go a little early (Sept 22nd), just to make sure that you and I could make it. So a couple weeks ago we headed out to Great Country Farms, about an hour from where we live. This was our first time coming to this farm, we usually end up at a different one every year. We got there early and took the hayride to the apple trees.
It was a beautiful morning and we didn't waste any time getting started.
Here is daddy's first pick of the morning.
It's purty.
Here is Mommy's first pick.
Not so purty. :(
The next couple were much better. I let you help pick them out ;)
Then we met this guy...
Eek!!
He left us alone as long as we didn't pick HIS apple.
Once we were done picking apples, we headed back on the hayride to the main area. We put the apples in the car and then headed over to the corn maze.
We love a good corn maze.
It was still early in the day, and early in the year for that matter, so we were the only ones going through the maze at the time, which made it more challenging, which of course, made it more fun.
Here we are at the halfway point, what a view!
Daddy forgot his sunglasses, so he hated taking this picture.
The maze was so quiet since we were the only ones out there, there wasn't even an employee, so if we got lost, we were gonna have to spend the night. Luckily, we only made one wrong turn and were able to get through the whole thing in only 30 minutes, woohoo!!!
After the maze we headed over to the main barn, where we bought a couple cider donuts and apple cider, and walked around the rest of the farm.
We can't wait to bring you back when you are old enough, there was a petting zoo and tons of other fun stuff. You're going to LOVE it!
